Two prominent industry associations have put together a “toolkit” of ideas to help manufacturers innovate, compete and succeed in the midst of the economic downturn. LMC Workholding (Logansport, Indiana) recently installed the world’s largest Neidlein face driver at TST Inc. in Ontario, California. The specialty FSB 85 face driver, which weighs more than 20,000 pounds and measures 40 inches in diameter and 10 inches long, will be used to machine bar stock into billets for aerospace and defense applications.
