View MoreEmco Maier’s Hyperturn 45 turn-mill center is designed for applications in automotive and general engineering. The turn-mill offers a Y axis with a 70-mm traveling distance in the upper carriage system and a Z2 axis in the lower. Water-cooled main and counter spindle motors are designed to provide a higher drive power of 15 kW, a maximum speed of 7,000 rpm and 100 Nm of torque. The machine features a thermo-symmetrical machine construction with a three-axis portal to enable automated loading and unloading as well as potential access to separate deburring and cleaning stations. It is equipped with a Siemens Sinumerik 840D-sl control and drive system plus a fold-out PC keyboard.
The turn-mill will be featured as part of a cell with a Renishaw Equator dimensional gaging system, a part-handling system, and a FANUC CR-35iA collaborative robot with a lift capacity of 35 kg.
