View MoreMedical components are produced from a range of materials, and common considerations are small size, precise dimensions and critical surface finishes. The DCM-Tech IG 180SD grinder has been developed with these requirements in mind, says manufacturer DCM Tech. Grinding parameters, such as spindle speed and feed rates, are adjustable to optimize processing a range of materials. These data can then be saved as grinding programs for later recall.
A selection of vacuum, mechanical and magnetic workholding systems are also available for lab and production work. According to the company, the grinder is routinely employed to grind stainless alloy hardware for orthopedic reconstruction, piezoceramic elements for transducers and die and mold components used in the production of enclosures and housings.
