Mitutoyo America offers its 500 series IP67 Absolute Digimatic coolant-proof calipers for integration into statistical process control and measurement systems. The calipers incorporate Mitutoyo’s Absolute measurement system, making it unnecessary to reset the origin. The automatic power on/off shuts down the LCD after 20 minutes of inactivity, but the ABS scale origin is unaffected; power is restored to the display when the slider is moved.
The calipers feature a larger LCD of 9 mm, a 22 percent increase in height for improved visibility. A low-current integrated circuit extends battery life to five years, the company says. The calipers’ ergonomic design uses only one button for ease of use.
