Supertec Machinery offers its CNC worm and thread grinding machines: the WT200 for 7.9" diameters and WT300 for 11.9" diameters. For increased precision, the machines combine a control, a PC-based computer with Smart Grinding software, a direct-drive motor and a linear motor.
The flexible control software allows for multiple profiles and dressing cycles. It also manages grinding cycles and stores machine processes and profile data. The dressing software enables profiling of grinding wheels for standardized worm profiles as well as multi-ribbed grinding wheels for thread grinding, including tip-root modifications and profiles of rotors for pumps. The machines are designed for double-lead, taper-thread, single-flank and dual pressure angle grinding, among other operations.
