View MoreThe Industrial Automation North America (IANA) 2014 trade show and conference is returning to Chicago’s McCormick Place during IMTS, September 8-13. According to Larry Turner, CEO of IANA organizer Hannover Fairs USA, one key trend in automation that will be evident at the co-located show is mobility. Exhibitors will be presenting various means of promoting connectivity via smartphones, tablets and specialized devices that can collect, record and respond to data from the plant floor. The Global Automation and Manufacturing Summit taking place during the event will feature discussions on how to effectively implement mobility across manufacturing processes.
Following the success of the inaugural IANA event in 2012, the show will highlight equipment, technologies and solutions for implementing and improving automation across the entire plant. The exhibition area has been expanded for 2014, and international display areas representing Italy, Germany and Taiwan have been added this year.
In addition to the return of IANA, a new co-located event has also been added to IMTS 2014: Motion, Drive & Automation North America (MDA NA). This event will showcase innovations in power transmission, motion control and fluid technology, with a special emphasis on the importance of small gears, bearings and motors.
