View MoreAvailable from Absolute Machine Tools, the Accutex AL56SA wire EDM features a high-speed linear shaft motor said to enable precise linear and circular interpolation. According to the company, the linear shaft technology prevents backlash, lost motion, guideway friction and heat transfer, and is virtually maintenance-free. The machine features Accutex’s AWT automatic wire threader to provide effective threading at the break point along with the Accutex64-bit Windows CE control. With travels measuring 22" × 14" × 12", it can accommodate workpieces measuring as large as 38" × 22" × 11.5" and weighing as much as 1,100 lbs.
