Hurco’s largest VMC, the VMX84 is designed for manufacturers of large parts, molds and dies. Available with spindle speeds of 10,000, 12,000 or 15,000 rpm, the machine has XYZ axis travels of 84" × 34" × 30". The company says large ballscrews and servo drives increase the machine’s accuracy, while its high metal-removal and feed rates reduce cycle times.
The machine uses the company’s control and WinMax control software. Designed for both G-code and conversational users, the software features 25 new features. These include advanced verification graphics with 3D solid rendering, dynamic rotation, real-time tool display, swept surface and NC/conversational merge.
