Vise Jaw System Grips Oddly Shaped Parts
Mitee-Bite’s VersaGrip can clamp standard vise work as well as difficult parts that would normally require fixturing or machining soft-jaws.
Mitee-Bite’s VersaGrip can clamp standard vise work as well as difficult parts that would normally require fixturing or machining soft-jaws. By replacing current jaws with this system, users can securely hold oddly shaped parts while machining at speeds and feeds not previously possible, the company says.
The system can accommodate a range of part sizes and hold multiple parts in a single cycle. The hardened vise jaw system has penetrating teeth designed to bite into a workpiece and prevent lateral and horizontal movement. The grips hold flame-cut parts, castings and parts with a negative draft.
