Tungaloy's TungBoreMini Combines Drilling and ID, OD Turning

The TungBoreMini, a multifunctional drilling and turning tool from Tungaloy, is designed to combine the capabilities of drilling and OD and ID turning tools. This combination is said to provide time savings compared to changing tools and increased machine utilization rates, especially for aluminum applications.
The insert and pocket feature a dovetail interlocking design providing better insert clamping and stability during various applications, compared with conventional screw-down insert retention, according to the company.
Eight holders are available in diameters of 10, 12, 14 and 16 mm (0.394", 0.472", 0.551" and 0.630"), each in right- and left-hand models. Inserts are available in four different sizes to fit the corresponding holders.
