Self-Reversing Tapping Attachment Boosts Cycle Times
Tapmatic’s large-capacity RCT150 self-reversing tapping attachment for machining centers is designed to reduce cycle times.
Tapmatic’s large-capacity RCT150 self-reversing tapping attachment for machining centers features precision gearing that transmits high torque for reversing tap sizes measuring to M42. Large tapping applications include those required for wind energy, heavy industry and power-generation manufacturing. By eliminating machine spindle reversal, cycle time is improved, electrical-power consumption is reduced, and wear and tear to the spindle is virtually eliminated without stopping and reversing twice for each tapped hole, the company says.
The tapping attachment features a modular straight shank and a high-pressure internal coolant system. It can fit virtually any CNC machining center.
