View MoreNSK America Corp. presents the iSpeed5, a tool-changeable, electric, high‐speed spindle with a 350 W brushless DC motor available in 60,000 rpm or 80,000 rpm designed to add speed to users’ machining centers.
The custom stop block under the machine spindle is said to prevent machining debris from contaminating the stop block without the need for operator intervention. The iSpeed5 can connect to the user’s machine tool using the taper along with a stop block and can enable high‐speed micro‐machining for any period of time. The machine tool spindle does not spin, enabling the iSpeed5 motor and spindle to do all the work. This spindle can offer flexibility on users’ machine tools for work with micro round tools.
