New Exair Model Measures, Identifies Sources of Static
Model 7905 Digital Static Meter measures surface voltage and polarity on objects up to ±20 kV from one inch (25 mm) away.
Exair’s Model 7905 Digital Static Meter is designed to be an easy-to-use, handheld tool for measuring and identifying sources of static. According to the company, static electricity can affecting product quality by causing jamming or tearing during manufacturing processes.
The Digital Static Meter indicates surface voltage and polarity on objects up to ±20 kV from one inch (25 mm) away. Typically, the highest reading will indicate the source of static, Exair says. The meter features an LED-illuminated readout and a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certification for accuracy. According to the company, its ‘zero’ function ensures accuracy of ±5%.
