PRAB’s Automatic Coolant Concentration Control (AC3) continually monitors coolant concentration levels and adjusts automatically. According to the company, the unit is capable of maintaining programmed ratios within ±0.5 percent accuracy by taking continuous concentration measurements using an automatic refractometer. Readings are analyzed by a series of algorithms built into the software package, and actions such as opening and closing valves or turning on and off pump delivery systems are performed automatically. The coolant control works in conjunction with PRAB’s Guardian central coolant recycling system which uses a comprehensive coalescing filtration process.
