The rotary table offers +30/-110 degrees of A-axis rotation and 360 degrees in the C-axis. The machine is equipped with a 12,000-rpm (15,000-rpm optional), inline, Big-Plus spindle. A 40-station swing-arm automatic toolchanger comes standard.
According to the company, these capabilities are made possible because of Milltronics’ Inspire+ control. Inspire+ is designed to enhance the user interface and improve surface finish and cycle times. The control is also said to provide faster and complete simulation for complex parts, Industry 4.0 and IoT support and enhanced customer service capabilities that include remote troubleshooting and diagnostics. Inspire+ is also built for growth; it supports new machine technologies, including five-axis and live-tooling lathes, and is designed with an open architecture for future developments.
