Dimensional measurement of thickness, width, flatness, length and speed are accurately made with StripCheck. Strip steel or roll-forming processors and producers can verify tolerances on every shipment and document ISO requirements. Real-time and statistical information are compiled in a Windows format, which allows access to relevant process parameters so required adjustments can be made.
Using CCD laser technology combined with 24-bit processing power, the gauge laser can achieve an accuracy and repeatability of 0.0003”. All measurement gauges are integrated into a heavy-duty steel housing, designed to withstand the stresses of the harshest environments. Its capabilities include a travel velocity from 2 fpm to 3,940 fpm, strip thickness up to 1.25”, unlimited width range and a measurement frequency of up to 4 kHz. Strip length can be measured to within 0.1% using non-contact Doppler gauges.
A measurement system including hardware, software, calibration gauges and documentation is included. NIST certification is also available. An operator interface package is said to allow for easy data input, monitoring and tracking of production in real time. Also any alarm conditions are easily addressed with this operator interface package. Customized software packages can be written to handle special customer needs.
