The Jet-Edge large-format mid-rail gantry waterjet system features a 21- × 13-ft. work envelope with an exposed tank that accommodates overhead loading. A single cutting head is standard and an optional second cutting head can be added for increased productivity.
The gantry is ballscrew-driven for accuracy. It features a heavy-wall, tubular steel construction that is said to eliminate vibration and increase longevity.
The gantry uses an industrial PC controller and can be configured so that all three axes are fully programmable (a Z axis is optional). It also features direct-couple AC brushless digital servomotors and single or double carriages. Critical bearing components are protected with heavy-metal covers with brush seals. The machine is also available in an 8- × 13-ft. size.
