View MoreCarmex Precision Tools, LLC has released Swiss-Line, the latest addition to its family of tooling for Swiss-style applications. It combines a polygon insert and holder for external turning, grooving, parting and threading. The high-precision ground inserts are constructed of solid carbide with a specialty coating designed to lengthen tool life and increase productivity. Developed for machining a range of materials, a selection of inserts can be used with the same toolholders. Holders are coated to resist abrasion for a long service life.
The polygon shape, combined with Carmex’s special clamping system, is designed to enable fast change-over, and the carbide/coating combination is engineered to withstand the stresses of hard-machining small parts.
