Jergens offers a line of swing cylinders for workholding. The hydraulically activated clamps are available in either top or bottom flange styles with single- or double-acting actions. Either style can be manifold-mounted with #2 SAE ports or plumbed conventionally through two #4 SAE ports.
Three sizes are available with clamping capacities ranging from 1,100 to 5,000 lbs. The clamps’ pistons rotate 90 degrees to the right in standard configuration, and they are also available with a 90-degree left rotation or no rotation. According to the company, the clamps offer versatility because they can be used via a through-hole bottom mount or top plate mount, and their non-threaded bodies simplify mounting.
