Fortech’s TechKool FT4000, part of its synthetic machining and grinding fluids line, is a heavy-duty synthetic coolant well suited for machining and grinding of ferrous and nonferrous alloys. It also works well in critical surface finish operations on aluminum and exotic alloys.
The coolant is a bio-stable metal removal fluid that combines rust protection with low foaming characteristics and long sump life. It was formulated to reject tramp oil that can cause smoking or misting and premature spoilage of coolant. As it is a mineral-oil free, it will run cleaner with less dragout and have improved part visibility over standard oil containing products.
TechKool FT 4000 is chlorine, sulfur, triazine (formaldehyde releaser),dicyclohexylamine (DCHA) (secondary amine) and 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) free. A qualified Fortech representative will work with user teams to help achieve the most beneficial initial charge and make-up concentrations for the operation.
