Grinding Wheel Verification Machine Designed for Accuracy
Westec 2017: Omega by Parlec offers the Veri-Grind machine for form verification of grinding wheels and complex form tools.
Omega by Parlec offers the Veri-Grind machine for form verification of grinding wheels and complex form tools. It uses the latest in optical technology to easily and simply create a DXF file of the tool or wheel and then compare the results to the original drawing, including multiple tolerance checks. The Veri-Grind creates a more than 1-million-point cloud to build the DXF, which in turn provides micron-precise measurement capability.
The Veri-Grind is ruggedly constructed with high-grade industrial materials. The product’s Symmetry Design is said to withstand the harshest shop environments. The micron-precise CAT 50 fixed-taper spindle adapts to any toolholder shank. Optionally, Omega also offers the high-accuracy universal power-clamping spindle. The Veri-Grind machine’s full three-axis CNC promotes accuracy, repeatability and reliability.
