View MoreTo address increasing demands in lead time and quality, the Taiyo Koki IGV-3NT compact CNC vertical grinding machine is now offered.
Through the inclusion of two stations on its turret-type wheelhead, the machine offers a range of grinding capabilities. The wheelhead switches among internal, external and face grinding, with one chucking. This can be useful when a job demands roundness of about one micron. The integration of operations also reduces the time a workpiece spends in the factory, thereby reducing lead time, the company says.
Designed with the end-user in mind, the machine can simplify workpiece loading and unloading, while providing the centering and setup of the workpiece.
The internal grinding spindles’ options include a programmable speed range of 9,000 rpm to 75,000 rpm, with internal grinding diameters ranging from 0.6" to 7.9". The external grinding wheel features a speed range of 2,400 rpm to 3,700 rpm, with a maximum external grinding diameter of 7.9". The IGV-3NT’s main spindle is capable of programmable speeds from 40 rpm to 800 rpm.
