View MoreIn response to tighter precision requirements and a need for automation solutions, Danobat presents its range of LG external grinders. The family of solutions is intended to perform the toughest production work while still maintaining flexibility and obtaining optimal precision results. It is designed to be adaptable for turnkey projects and the specific needs of each customer.
The LG range was developed for the manufacture of highly complex parts such as pump shafts, hydraulic precision components, gearbox transmissions, cutting tools and components with eccentric diameters.

The range’s capability of producing precision and repeatability is due in part to the machines' natural granite beds, linear motors and the incorporation of glass scales, according to Danobat. The wheel head, equipped with cooled electrospindles, can reach a maximum peripheral wheel speed of 120 m/s. Because of this, both conventional abrasives (45-60 m/s) and superabrasives (20-120 m/s) at maximum torque can be combined. Thanks to its wide variety of wheel-head configurations, the range provides a solution for many processes.
Danobat says what sets its grinding machines apart from others is the versatility of the B-axis. The B-axis is driven by a built-in motor, which promotes high position precision. Another highlight of the B-axis is that it can be equipped with different wheels and incorporate a diverse range of accessories, including measuring devices and superfinish stations. The LG machines range can also be equipped with a selection of accessories in order to meet each individual customer’s demands.
