The AQ300L-EDMedical Device Center (MDC) from Sodick Inc. is a 24/7 turnkey option for shops that produce medical instruments and implants. The machine has an optional auxiliary axis that indexes and rotates the workpiece. An automatic wire threader functions to further enhance the automation process, says the company.
Featuring travels of 12" × 8" × 8" on the XYZ axes, the wire EDM occupies a 4.5' × 8' floor space. Also included are linear motor drives, glass scale feedback, onboard programming, an anti-electrolysis circuit and a fine-finish circuit.
