The machine accommodates parts ranging to 152 mm (6") in width and provides 0.001 mm positioning resolution, the company says.
The DG-2H is equipped with cast wheelheads with quill-type spindles, and the spindle wheel drive motor mounts are molded into the machine base. The wheelhead spindle drive pulley is externally supported to the casting, and the wheel guard hood is said to be ergonomically designed. The wheel in-feed features large-diameter ballscrews, and a rear top-mounted electric wheel dresser offers easy operator access. The machine also is equipped with an automatic lubrication system. Controls can be designed to customer specifications, and tooling fixtures can be customized with a rotary, swing-arm, reciprocator and other options. According to the company, the disc grinder provides increased reliability, extended grinding wheel life and consistent surface finish.
