The Starvision FS-3220 double-column machining center from Fortune/Monforts-Starvision Machinery features a Hamada Koki JIS 0 gearbox. Offering X-, Y- and Z-axis travels measuring 126" × 78.7" × 31.5", the machining center is equipped with a 6,000-rpm, two-step gear shift and 30/35-hp spindle motor. Coolant through the spindle is 300 psi. It also offers an automatic toolchanger that accommodates as many as 32 tools and a FANUC 0i-MD CNC control. The machine is constructed on a Meehanite casting and also features X-, Y- and Z-axes boxways, as well as C3-class precision ballscrews.
