The Zoller pomSkpGo portable desktop measuring machine measures and prepares cutting edges. Its carbon design enables mobile use while ensuring high precision and stability, the company says. The machine uses the pilot 3.0 user interface featuring a variety of measuring and analysis algorithms specifically for edge rounding measurement in the measuring room or in production. Measuring volume is 1.6 × 1.2 × 1.0 mm with a lateral resolution ranging to 1.2 microns and a vertical resolution of 0.1 micron. Alignment is said to be easy and fast with the universal holding fixture and positioning guide.
In-machine probing doesn’t reach the power of CMMs but can still be useful for pre- and mid-process control, as well as for “rough screening” of parts.
