View MoreATS Systems offers Hainbuch’s dead length quick-change collet chuck system. The deadlength collet design is said to offer precision, rigidity and holding power. The clamping head consists of hardened and ground steel segments that link together by a vulcanization process. Round-smooth, round-serrated, hex, square and special collets are available.
The collet chucks offers no workpiece linear movement when the system is actuated and is especially useful for secondary-operation work and subspindle applications. They are precision ground and balanced for high machine spindle speeds. Change-over from one collet to another is said to take only a few minutes.
