The Chiron Group showcases the Micro5 five-axis machining center,
specifically designed to cater to small, micro-technical workpiece applications, including medical devices, watchmaking, jewelry and small electronics. The machine features a 5:1 ratio of machine to workpieces, a weight that is said to be five times lighter compared to larger machines, a 50-fold reduction in energy consumption, quick setup and a compact and versatile design.

The Micro5 is a high-performance milling spindle that is said to reduce machining time with fast tool changes completed in under five seconds. The rigid machining center enables precision and optimal surface quality, operating at 500 watts for energy efficiency. The machine is also said to operate with noise levels below 50 decibels.

The Chiron Group also introduces Feed5, a six-axis handling robot tailored specifically for the Micro5 compact machining center. The Feed5 automation can efficiently load and unload two Micro5 centers. It is a modular concept, able to be scaled into a series production line by plug-and-play. The compact Feed5 is useful for enabling increased autonomy and productivity in larger series production. Additionally, the maximum workpiece size for the Micro5 is 50 × 50 × 50 mm (L × W × H).
