President Obama Attends Harting Booth at Hannover Messe
The U.S. president along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel learned about the company’s internet-of-things technologies.
The opening of the Hannover Messe trade show April 25 in Hannover, Germany, saw President Barack Obama visit HARTING Inc.’s booth together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The United States was this year’s partner country for the show.
President Obama was accompanied by a large delegation, according to Harting. The chancellor and president learned about Harting products, including its Industry 4.0 solutions, such as the company’s MICA (Modular Industry Computing Architecture) mini industrial computer designed to be a neural interface between machine and cloud. Additionally, Harting presented its Rinspeed “Etos” car, in which the MICA captures drive and emissions data and transmits it to testing institutes for independent monitoring.
The meeting between President Obama and Harting garnered international attention and was even featured on the screens in Times Square (pictured).
