General Tool has been covered in various MMS articles. This photo was used within a multi-part article about machining composites.

General Tool in Cincinnati, Ohio is hosting a job fair this Saturday, October 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The company is a contract manufacturer making large, complex and/or high-value parts for aerospace-industry customers, among others. Machinists with experience on five-axis machines, horizontal boring mills or VTLs are invited to stop by for an interview and a tour.

Manufacturing technology manager Greg Kramer says that increasing manufacturing staffing is one of the company’s most pressing challenges right now. All of the other elements are in place—the company has the work and has the high-tech equipment. Given the short- and long-term opportunities General Tool sees, he says the company could justify increasing skilled manufacturing staffing by as many as 20 people.
