E2, the shopfloor control system from Shoptech Software, has a mobile module called Pocketview that was originally designed for handheld computer devices. Hadronics, Inc., a Cincinnati-based manufacturer of print rollers, came up with the idea of using Pocketview and the E2 software on iPads. This application enables the supervisors there to stay on the shop floor instead of making frequent visits to the front office to get essential production data. This makes the supervisors more productive, the company says. In this video, you can hear the Hadronics personnel tell their own story of this success.
