Programmable Tool Verification And Breakage Control System
The Mida Laser 75P non-contact programmable tool setting system incorporates a protection system with air-tunnel effect, a powerful integrated microprocessor for best performance under coolant, an active drip rejection filter and enhanced noise reduction with double filtering technology. The programmable system can be adapted to the tool type under verification, to the same rotation speed used during machining and to the desired measuring cycle. The system is available with a “collimated” or “focused” laser beam.

The Cinch carbide insert chamfering tool uses a square ANSI standard insert and is available in 60-, 82-, 90- and 120-degree included angles. The compact, rigid design enables users to chamfer holes as small as 7/32″ diameter while utilizing the higher rpm and feed rates available on today’s machines. The tool is also available in a double angle configuration which enables chamfering both the top and bottom of holes as small as 21/32″ diameter.

Excelerator Mills are designed for high-performance milling in difficult-to-machine materials using the company’s ceramic inserts. Typical application areas include most hardened materials above 40 Rc and nickel- and cobalt-based super alloys. Ring Max ring-groove cutters are engineered to cut machining time of API ring grooves, the company says.

The company’s line of hole-finishing tools includes Burraway and Burr-Off mechanical deburring tools for controlled edge break or burr removal on both sides of holes in one pass. Shefcut precision reaming and boring tools which are designed for accurate size, fine finish and superior hole geometry are also available. Tools for burnishing include multi-roll, single-roll, and diamond burnishing tools, which are said to provide for accurate sizing, fine finishing, and work-hardening of bores and shafts in seconds.

The SBB-12 is a spiral-bottom, round-bowl deburring unit with a full circle baffle that keeps parts in the media mass constantly for faster, more precise processing. The unit features a 12-cubic-foot, urethane-lined tub for parts protection. Other spiral-bottom models have tub capacities of 8 to 12 cubic feet and custom-designed models can have capacities as much as 100 cubic feet.

These conical ball nose end mills are designed for machining specific components in several key manufacturing segments, including automotive, aerospace, energy and HVAC.
Read MoreTapping Holder Improves Thread Quality And Tap Life
The Mega Synchro tapping holder compensates for synchronization error during rigid tapping by reducing the thrust load to both the tap and workpiece, improving thread quality and tap life. This is facilitated through a mechanism that absorbs the pitch difference between the tap and synchronous spindle. Capable of supplying coolant through slits to the tap periphery, the holder is available in various lengths and spindle interfaces to suit any company’s needs.
Read MoreDeburring System Features Return-To-Operator System
The company has expanded its Tri-Ten planetary head deburring system to include a return-to-operator (RTO) configuration. The series is designed to deburr both sides of a part in a single pass. Parts are loaded at one end and a magnetic conveyor passes them through an offset planetary deburring head where three fiber abrasive brushes deburr the upward-facing surface.
