Zebra Skimmers' Coolant Systems Automate Fluid Management
The Zebra Dazzle 2 system can reportedly reduce coolant usage and CNC tooling by as much as 80%.
Zebra Skimmers’ Dazzle Systems are designed to provide practical coolant concentration management in a variety of manufacturing and production environments. These systems are available in two configurations: the off-the-shelf Dazzle 1 and the Industry 4.0 Dazzle 2.
Dazzle 1 is a second-generation coolant process automation system. This system comprises a Dazzle Pump Panel and independent controllers for both sumps and coolant concentrate drums or totes. The system delivers a water-coolant mix to maintain a sump’s level within a present range. According to the company, this is particularly useful for shops that use the same concentration mix across the shop floor, and it is expandable to many CNC machines.
Dazzle 2 is an Industry 4.0 automated coolant process automation system that maintains both sump levels and coolant concentrations within the user’s specified parameters. Dazzle 2 is configurable to manage the needs of a lights-out manufacturing environment and sends alerts and updates by email. The system can reportedly reduce coolant usage and CNC tooling by as much as 80%.
