Hainbuch’s CentroTex system facilitates fast and easy chuck change-over for manufacturers processing multiple parts of varying sizes that require various clamping methods. The system is said to increase the range of part diameters that can be machined and enables quick, accurate mounting of workholding devices.

The system’s precision-machined adapter/flange plate is aligned with the company’s Centrex interface, equipped with a bayonet mount and a drawtube adapter. The plate accommodates a variety of chucks and holding devices that are easily connected and locked by six simple fasteners. Change-over time is said to be less than six minutes, while the system maintains repeatability and change-over accuracy of less than 0.002 mm.

The system’s Monteq mounting aid, used with a suspension bar on a lathe or an overhead crane, improves balance and eases component handling during change-over. Gradations on the device assist in the simple alignment of the horizontal axis and non-threaded quick-action bolts secure the workholding device for loading or removal.

The system’s clamping device container is customized to hold chucks or other equipment when not in use. The unit moves on heavy-duty casters and features a retractable hood to shut out contaminants and maintain the integrity of the stored components.
