Waterjet Intensifier Reduces Costs
Jet Edge’s X-Stream xP90-50 waterjet intensifier pump offers 50 hp and is rated at 90,000 psi (6,200 bar).
Jet Edge’s X-Stream xP90-50 waterjet intensifier pump offers 50 hp and is rated at 90,000 psi (6,200 bar). The pump supports a continuous operating pressure as high as 75,000 psi (5,100 bar) and produces a flow rate of 0.7 gpm (2.61 L/min.) for abrasive waterjets, waterjet cutting systems and UHP surface-preparation equipment. According to the company, the pump enables faster cutting speeds and reduces operating costs for greater productivity in many materials. The unit also uses less water, power and abrasive for further cost reduction. The pump supports an orifice ranging to 0.011" and is said to reduce taper by as much as 0.001".
