View MoreOkuma’s MU-6300V CNC vertical machining center is designed for efficient five-axis, multi-sided machining. The VMC features a rigid and accurate double-column structure and low center of gravity in workpiece movement. The high-accuracy, dual-driven rotary trunnion table enables both heavy-duty, simultaneous five-axis cutting and high speed finishing. Built on Okuma’s “Thermo-Friendly” structure, the VMC is said to perform consistently regardless of warm-up time or ambient temperatures. It is well-suited for applications in the aerospace, automotive and medical industries.
The table measures 630 mm (24.80") in diameter, and the machine’s maximum machining volume is 830 mm (32.68") in diameter × 550 mm (21.65") high. An 11/7.5-kW (22/18.5-hp) spindle provides speeds ranging to 10,000 rpm. Rapid traverse rates are 50 m/min. (1,969 ipm). Options include a collision-avoidance system, a five-axis auto-tuning system and Okuma’s Machining Navi function for monitoring chatter. The machining center can be adapted for use with an automatic pallet changer, multiple automatic toolchangers, automation or a flexible manufacturing system.
