The KVL heavy-duty vertical turning center from Kingston Machine Tool features one-piece casting of the X/Z axis, which is supported by oversized box ways designed to increase stability and cutting accuracy. The arched-type, double-rail column and adjustable cros- rail are ribbed FC 30 castings with hardened and ground slideways.
A one-piece toolholder design increases rigidity, and the tool magazine is mounted to the floor to accommodate heavy-weight tools. The machine is equipped with a Fanuc 0iTD control and can be ordered with milling functions.
Designed for heavy-duty, large-diameter workpieces, the turning center offers a 63" maximum turning height and 78.7" turning diameter. It is equipped with two sets of precision bearings to increase load capacity to support a workpiece as heavy as 22,000 lbs. A 73-hp table motor improves production and cycle time.
