The Hwacheon VT-650 vertical CNC lathe provides a maximum cutting diameter of 31.44" and features a 1,500-rpm spindle drive. The lathe is designed for high-productivity, high-accuracy machining and can be integrated into factory automation systems.
The lathe accommodates work ranging to 31.50" in diameter and 29.53" in length. X and Z feed strokes are 16.89" and 31.04", respectively, while rapid feed rates are 788 ipm in the X axis and 630 ipm in the Z axis. An integrated 45-degree-angle bed frame is said to minimize heat distortion and absorb vibration.
The lathe is equipped with the company’s lathe tool load detection system software which constantly detects and diagnoses tool load during machining to reduce tool wear and prevent damage, optimizing tool life. An oil-cooled integrated spindle provides improved chucking for stable, precise machining. The geared drive system enables high-torque turning at low speed as well as high-speed turning. Maximum torque is 2,420 foot-pounds. A 12-station servo-type tool turret provides an indexing time of 0.25 sec., and turret clamping force is 13,668.66 lbf (6,200 Kgf).
