The Nemi vacuum grid chuck adds the versatility of vacuum workholding to machining centers, manual milling machines, surface grinders and more, the company says. Suitable applications include machining or grinding flat plate plastics, alumimum, steel, carbon fiber or other materials. This system can be bolted directly to a T-slot table or clamped in a machine vise. Optionally, this vacuum chuck can be configured for vacuum hold down to flat surfaces such as granite surface plates or surface grinder magnets. Vacuum is supplied via conventional vacuum pump or venturi. For larger applications, the Portable Grid System is available.
