Leaders-In background
Schunk’s Tendo E compact toolholder is designed for milling, drilling and reaming applications. The hydraulic-expansion toolholder can transfer as much as 520 Nm (384 foot-pounds) of torque at a 20-mm clamping diameter for high-volume cutting. Vibration damping characteristics and runout accuracy of less than 0.003 mm (0.0001") at 2.5 × D are said to protect the spindle and cutting tool from damage.

According to the company, the ability to quickly change tools without an Allen key makes the toolholder well-suited when toolholder quantities do not justify peripheral equipment. Common spindle connections are available, including HSK-A63, SK40, BT40, CAT40 and CAT50 interfaces.
