The Chamslit TRI inserts from Iscar Metals, Inc. offer three edges for groove milling applications. These precision-ground inserts are capable of grooving to 0.197" depths. The corresponding cutter is available in diameters ranging from 1.25" to 2.5".
One tool may be used for an array of inserts with widths from 0.039" to 0.157". In addition, the Al-Tec IC908 grade may be used on a variety of workpiece materials.
