A slow, brief swiping movement results in scrolling over a few lines. A longer, quick movement leads to dynamic scrolling over many lines, which can be stopped with a short tap. Users can zoom in/out and rotate/move objects in 3D test mode. A keyboard pops up for text input.
The company also has a new version of its MC7410 main computer with touchscreen technology called MC8410 main.
For the machine builder, a newly designed MB 721 machine control panel with or without functional safety is also available with the touchscreen, featuring three optional elements that can be assigned to additional keys, key switches or a USB connection to provide potentiometers for feed and spindle speed.
The MC 7410 has also been revised and is now available in a new variant that can be used with the MB 721 (FS). This enables the original equipment manufacturer to use the MB 721 (FS) as a standard and choose between the MC 8410 and MC 7410 main computers. Both units have an Intel Celeron Ivy Bridge processor, Dual Core with 1.4 GHz and 2 GB RAM memory.
The software’s range of standard cycles for milling, drilling and boring machines as well as optional probing functionality are compatible with older control versions. The control comes standardized as four-axis control, but can optionally be extended to five-axis simultaneously operation.
