Schwanog’s WSI toolholding system is designed for ID grooving of complex contours, turning, or a combination of both applications, enabling users to reduce unit costs. The toolholders carry coolant through and can be applied for IDs greater than 2 mm. The lengths of ID plunge carbide inserts can be variable adjusted in the Z axis through a set screw, providing rigidity and functionality during setup and tool change-over. The repeatability of the system is less than 0.02 mm.
