Toolholder Extension Expands Machining Access
Schunk’s Tribos-SVL toolholder extension enables precise, smooth machining of workpiece areas that are difficult to access.
Schunk’s Tribos-SVL toolholder extension enables precise, smooth machining of workpiece areas that are difficult to access. The toolholder features a slim dsign and offers a run-out accuracy of less than 0.003 mm. Clamping diameters ranging from 0.3 to 20 mm and 1/8" to 3/4" are available.
The toolholder extension is well-suited for use with Schunk’s Tendo hydraulic expansion toolholders or the Tribos-R polygonal toolholders. Both toolholders are said to have a vibration damping effect on the overall system. The extension can also be combined with the company’s Celsio heat-shrink toolholders and collet toolholders.
