Leaders-In background

Haimer’s Safe-Lock uses a pin locking system in the ID of a toolholder that engages with a groove on the OD of a cutting tool. This system eliminates tool pullout, an issue commonly experienced in rough milling applications. The added benefits of less-than-3-micron TIR and repeatable balance enable faster metal removal rates, better surface finishes and ensure the longevity of the machine tool’s spindle, the company says.

Haimer offers the system in both shrink fit and collet chuck-style holders.
