TDM V4 from TDM Systems is a software program that provides tooling information for planning systems and helps organize tools in the crib and shop floor.

The software provides geometry, feeds and speeds for creating efficient NC programs, the company says. With this software, the NC programmer can choose the best tool for the application with regard to materials and operation. The company provides tool data and 2D/3D graphics for simulation and programming. To create this information, the company’s data and graphic generator contains a database with more than 45,000 tools for milling, drilling and turning operations. It also contains solid carbide tools.

The company also offers software modules to organize the tool crib. The software manages the complete logistic of the tools, from dispension through assembly and availability on the machine. It gives an overview of the number, the condition and the consumption of all tools. All relevant entries and statistics can be retraced and accessed at any time, the company says. The system also manages all ordering processes and connects with ERP systems.

Designed to increase efficiency and productivity, the software collects machining experience in one database so all systems get access to data without redundancy.

The company offers software solutions for applications including tool data, 2D/3D graphics, CAD/CAM integration, ERP interface, crib management, shop control, maintenance, gages and calibration.
