Software Upgrade for Material Positioning System Reduces Scrap
IMTS 2018: TigerStop offers an upgrade for its TigerTouch software called Dynamic Pack Optimization, which nests packs or bundles of material for improved yield.
TigerStop offers an upgrade for its TigerTouch software called Dynamic Pack Optimization, which nests packs or bundles of material for improved yield. The upgrade enhances raw material usage and reduces scrap.
The upgrade optimizes bundles of like-profiled material while tracking material usage data. It calculates the greatest number of profiles a user can load and reduces over-cutting of raw stock. The software can be used to process metal, wood, composites and plastics.
Combining TigerTouch tablet software with the Dynamic Pack Optimization upgrade, the user enters the stock profiles they would like to cut or process. They then enter the maximum number of profiles their machine tools can process at one time. The upgrade tells the user how many pieces of stock to bundle together in the pack, resulting in improved productivity.
