The TRAUB TNL18 production turning machine is capable of five-axis machining of 20-mm-diameter bar for long and short parts in a single setup. It can be changed over in minutes to produce precision parts with or without a guide bush. As many as three tools can be used at once.
The machine is suited for machining medical components and aerospace parts. According to the company, it delivers precision and qualified surface finish in a single operation.
Tool capacity of the TNL18 P can be increased to as many as 54 tool places through dual- and multi-holders, extending productive times. High-precision and fast turret indexing enables 0.3 sec chip-to-chip time. Both variants feature a compact shaft system to improve mounting of the toolholders in the turret.
