Skidless Surface Gage Evaluates Complex Parameters
The MarSurf M 400 skidless surface metrology system from Mahr Federal is designed to capture primary, waviness and roughness profiles for the evaluation of more complex parameters.
The MarSurf M 400 skidless surface metrology system from Mahr Federal is designed to capture primary, waviness and roughness profiles for the evaluation of more complex parameters. The gage features proprietary automatic probe adjustment that eases and speeds automatic zeroing of the probe. A magnetic, breakaway probe-mounting system protects sensitive probes from damage and facilitates fast probe changes. The gage is said to measure virtually all common international parameters. It also features Bluetooth connectivity between the measuring system and the evaluation unit with integrated thermal printer.
The gage can be used alone, in a variety orientations and in combination with various accessories. It can also be mounted on a measuring stand. A large, color display on the evaluation unit is designed to provide clear, concise results and intuitive operator guidance, the company says. The unit is compatible with appropriate DIN, ISO, JIS, ASME and MOTIF standards for the measure of most common surface finish parameters from the P, W and R profiles, the company says.
